In addition, the continuous bandwidth demanding by communications systems has made the coexistence between all these wireless systems very difficult leading to new complicated operating scenarios that require suitable precautions at the design stage in order to limit or reduce the performance degradation due to possible mutual interference. In this context, the present session focuses on the design of detection/tracking/estimation algorithms capable of facing with (possibly) strong interferers (from other electromagnetic sources and/or targets) which could impair the system performance.

14h15-15h: Recent Advances in Target Detection in the Presence ECM or Unintentional Interferers – Speaker: Prof. Danilo Orlando (Universita degli Studi Niccolo’ Cusano, Roma, Italy)

15h-15h45: Adaptive radar detection exploiting persymmetry in sample-starved environments – Speaker: Prof. Jun Liu ( University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China)

Tuesday October 13

Session STD 3 – Sensors for Debris Detection (1,5 hours) – Chair Prof. Thierry Bouwmans (Lab.
